Compass is a real estate brokerage that offers advanced technology features and services to its agents. Compass is owned by one corporate entity and does not operate franchises in the US.
Agents join Compass and gain access its suite of services. Triplemint provides traditional real estate brokerage services as well as marketing and advertising, listing coordination, transaction coordination, legal services, and office space.
Similar to most traditional brokerages, real estate commissions charged to buyers and sellers working with Compass negotiated on a case-by-case basis with agents.
Compass is privately held.
According to most public sources, Triplemint's commission splits with agents vary and are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Triplemint originally employed agents as full-time employees but abandoned that model.
As of late 2020, Triplemint had just under 200 agents.
Triplemint laid off two employees in April 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
